The Taro Leaf comes from the 24th Infantry Division, formerly at Fort Stewart, Ga. I was in Alpha Company 3rd Battalion, 19th Infantry, a mechanized Infantry unit, from April 1984 – January 1986 when I got out or, ETS’d. Our unit Motto was, “Top of the Rock! First to Fight!”

The “Old Ironsides” patch is from the 1st Armored Division. I was in Bravo Company, 1st Battalion, 51st Infantry, a mechanized Infantry unit, stationed at McKee Barracks in Crailsheim, Germany from April 1982 – April 1984. Our unit motto was, “Fixed Bayonets!”

To my Brothers in Arms, “Fortuna Fortes Juvat!”
(Latin for, “Fortune Favors the Brave!”)
